Under the stars

I've always seen styled shoots as a rather daunting prospect. As a photographer, your level of involvement in planning can vary. Sometimes the shoot is organised by another supplier, like the shoot I did at Brickwall House a couple of years back which was put together by the dress company. This shoot, however, was all on me to organise and I most definitely felt the pressure. Even though my job on an often daily basis is to capture really important moments in people's lives, putting together this shoot felt pressured. Firstly you have a venue, new to weddings and in need of content to sell their location. Then all the other brilliant suppliers whose time, effort, and personal expense you don't want to see wasted. All looking at me to make sure it goes well. Well, I am pleased to say the day went brilliantly and the resulting shots, are EPIC!

So, the venue. Pretty cool right? I had visited the Science Centre a few times over the years and was delighted to hear they had started to host weddings. I knew this, as I'm actually shooting the second wedding they are hosting at the venue, in July 2022. I contacted Natasha way back in September last year about sorting a shoot, but due to a bereavement in my family, it never got past the email stage.

In 2022 however, I got back in contact and the ball started rolling again. This time leading to a great shoot with incredible people.
